History of Paykan A/C System

In 1976 Cooler Iran with joint co-operation of British foreign experts, have developed a tailor made air-conditioning designed specially for Paykan. As a result the company signed an agreement with Iran National company (current Iran Khodro), to sell 20,000 units of OEM design air-conditioning to be installed on Paykan that was introduced in the market, for the first time in Paykan history . The introduction of Paykan A/C was very well accepted and welcomed in the market during the time period but however the project was almost discontinued due to the problems of war and other factors.

Considering the huge customer demand for Paykan A/C and looking in to the progress made globally in the field of air-conditioning components and designs, In the year 1997 Cooler Iran seriously considered to start the design of new generation of air-conditioning for Paykan. After modifying and adding new ideas and technologies to the old design the company sent one unit of Paykan equipped with the prototype A/C to Singapore for further testing and evaluation.

After conducting 2 years of different bench marking, wind tunnel and road tests such as Ideal, traffic, high speed and several modifications the final result came out to be very successful and this time a new high tech design of A/C was developed according to the up to date standards and was finally introduced to the market...

Advantages of New Paykan A/C System

• Making use of Japanese Technology Making use of Valeo's super high technology compressors in the new Paykan A/C design which is completely compatible with the unique condition of Paykan's engine is the key to the success of the design of this system. The new high tech compressor is consuming much less energy generated by the vehicle's engine comparing with other compressors, but at the same time it is capable of providing high cooling performance sufficient to cool down the cabin temperature as quickly as possible and it will not cause any over heating problem while driving in traffic or high speed.

• New evaporator design New ergonomic evaporator design is adding a new attractive touch to your automobile interior. With positioning of the electronic control system in between the dash and under the stereo system, the front passengers have easy access to control the louvers for airflow direction and the thermostat for control of the temperature.

• PF aluminum condenser PF aluminum condenser coupled with electric fan positioned in a very limited available space, is a perfect heat exchanger and the radiator being very near to this condenser still acting normally and therefore it enables the A/C system to perform in at its best condition.

• Ozone friendly Paykan A/C system is designed to be compatible with R134a fluid gas. This fluid unlike CFC is not harmful to the ozone layer and it's a latest invention that is globally accepted and used in automotive A/C systems.
